The pure 560 is the perfect ultra
performance foil for Wingfoil
racing and speedsters
In development for a year, approved and validated during Weymouth Speed Week by passing the
30 knot mark over 500m.
The PURE 560 foil has been highly developed to possess the perfect balance of speed, stability and upwind capability.
The front foil, fuselage and stabiliser, all three components seamlessly moulded in one piece.
Increased stiffness, reduced drag, all aspects working in perfect harmony.
Optimum AR is a function of wing lift coeff. Wing CL decreases as speed
increases. So wings designed for max speeds will have slightly lower AR than
wings designed primarily for glide (eg Pure HA1100/HA800)
A specific mast has been developed to exploit the record breaking pedigree of this foil. This new mast brings more rigidity at the level of connection as well as an improved hydrodynamic flow, further reducing drag, increasing control and speed.
At high speed, the mast can contribute 15-20% of the total drag (depending on mast design and foiling height). So we wanted to make the mast as low drag as possible whilst retaining high bending and torsional stiffness.
When racing upwind, the board has a large contra heel, so leeward tips is likely to breach water surface. The wing section, twist and outline has been designed to minimise the risk of ventilation
Longer fuses allow smaller stabs to be used. As we make the fuse longer, the fuse drag goes up, but because the stab is smaller, the stab drag reduces. So fuse length and stab area have been optimised to give least drag. This resulted in a fuse about 50mm longer than other fuses in the Pure range. Not only does this give least drag, but it also provides a stable foil system that has a high Moment change of trim. This means the foil is less sensitive to the rider’s foot pressure, so this makes it easier to control in overpowered and gusty conditions.
The rigidity of the mast, wings, and fuselage is an important factor for high-speed control, so the use of UHM carbon is essential.
This minimises the interference drag between the wing, stab and fuse. The monolithic construction, combined with new mast to fuse connection, ensures highest rigidity.

The more power you feed it, the faster it goes.
The PURE 560 foil has been highly developed to possess the perfect balance of speed, stability and upwind capability.
The monoblock structure has been taken to the extreme of a singular.
The front foil, fuselage and stabiliser, all three components seamlessly moulded in one piece.
The 560’s stability giving you the confidence to fully push to any level.

The newest mast
A specific mast has been developed to exploit the record breaking pedigree of this foil. This new mast brings more rigidity at the level of connection as well as an improved hydrodynamic flow, further reducing drag, increasing control and speed.
Ultra Thin Chord Profile
At high speed, the mast can contribute 15-20% of the total drag (depending on mast design and foiling height). So we wanted to make the mast as low drag as possible whilst retaining high bending and torsional stiffness.
Wings tips designed
to resist ventilation
When racing upwind, the board has a large contra heel, so leeward tips is likely to breach water surface. The wing section, twist and outline has been designed to minimise the risk of ventilation
Extended fuse length
Longer fuses allow smaller stabs to be used. As we make the fuse longer, the fuse drag goes up, but because the stab is smaller, the stab drag reduces.
